Summer Biergarten Series at the Germania Society in Colerain Township
Germania Park, 3529 West Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45251
Biergarten evenings will be free and open to the public. The event will run 6 p.m.-12 a.m.
The Summer Biergartens will feature a family-friendly environment, live music (beginning at 7 p.m., varying in genre from month to month) and German food (no outside food or beverages will be permitted).
Four Tristate craft breweries — Taft’s Brewing Co. (June), Braxton Brewing Co. (July), West Side Brewing Co. (August) and Fretboard Brewing Co. (September) — will host tap takeovers over the course of the series. Each takeover will feature at least three of the participating brewery’s beers.
The May and October installments will feature beers from all four of the breweries above. Additionally, all the Biergarten evenings will feature imported German beers, which will be determined by seasonal availability.
Over its 54-year history, the Germania Society has played host to many of Cincinnati’s premier German cultural events, including Christkindlmarkt, Maifest and, beginning in 1970, the area’s first Oktoberfest (pre-dating downtown’s Oktoberfest Zinzinnati by 6 years).
